Muffy is proud of the effort she has made in athletics and in the community working with organizations like Make-A-Wish foundation, Sun Valley Adaptive Sports, the United States Ski and Snowboard Association, Wasatch Adaptive Sports, and many others. She enjoys working with the organizations that supported her and other individuals with disabilities. Muffy has used her success in athletics to inspire others with and without disabilities to be the best they can be.

ATHLETICS
Alpine Skiing, Muffy won four paralympic medals; three Silvers in Salt Lake City, 2002; and a Bronze in Nagano, 1998. In 2001 and 2002 she amassed 7 world cup titles including the overall Worldcup title for both years. In 2000 she won the title World Champion in the Giant Slalom, Anzere, Switzerland. Over her career she has amassed over 25 world cup medals and prides herself on being one of the most consistant female disabled racers in the world while competing.
Mountaineering, Two peaks over 14,000*, utilizing two different technologies the Snowpod and the I-Glide manual assist wheelchair.
Honors, 2004 I.O.C. Presidents Disabled Athlete Award. 2003 Disabled Student Award, University of Utah, 2002 Disabled Athlete of the Year, Endurance Sports Awards; Most Inspirational Athlete of 2002, Challenged Athletes Foundation; History Maker Award, Utah Ski Archives and J Willard Marriot SkiMuseum; Athlete Champion, Honored by the Utah M.S. Society; Role Model of the Year, Americas Athletes with Disabilities, 2001 Common Good Award, Utah Commision for Responsible Growth. 1999 History Maker Award, Utah Ski Archives and J Willard Marriot Ski Museum. 1998 Athlete of the Year Award, Wood River Valley Athlete of the Year; Outstanding Skier Award, Presented by Paralyzed Veteran's of America for Skiing accomplishments and community service.
